Garold “Gary” Joseph Skluzacek, born December 9, 1950, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, September 19, 2026.
Gary proudly served in the military reserves and went on to a successful career, eventually becoming Vice President of Bakery Equipment Sales at Horizon Equipment.
Gary and his wife, Joyce, shared 51 years of marriage. In retirement, he devoted much of his time to the family farm, raising grass-fed beef and always finding another project to work on. He loved his horses, gardening, hunting, fishing, firearms and reloading, reading, staying active, and, later in life, dancing with Joyce.
Gary is survived by his wife, Joyce; his son, Jesse (Gail) and their children, Riley, Emma, Tucker, and Elizabeth; his son, Ryan (Jenny) and their children, Corinne, Claire, and Lucy; his sister, Blanche Robinson; and his mother, Marion.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clement.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home in Lonsdale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lonsdale with visitation also Thursday morning at the funeral home starting at 10 a.m.
